It’s not that anyone is actually trying to stop me from pursuing my dream. It’s just that life has a habit of getting in the way. – Fighting for my right to write
I started writing a book as an 18-year-old college freshman know-it-all and now, a 27-year-old college professor, I’m almost done re-writing and editing…
It’s been a long time coming; I’ve been working hard on it this summer, waking up every morning when my boyfriend goes to work, fixing our coffee and sitting down at the desk after he leaves for the day. I’m proud to say it’s ALMOST for another’s eyes whereas before it was too raw to read. I’ve been careful in my rewrite making sure the moral of the story stays relevant, but who knows if I will ever publish the book. I have other stories I’ve been itching to tell, and it will be nice to finally clear this one off of my chest.
“Every journalist has a novel in him, which is an excellent place for it.” (Russel Lynes)
Anyone have any self-publishing tips or ideas?
