My soon-to-be home away from home, Syracuse, N.Y. set a record high of 88 degrees on Saturday, breaking the previous record of 83 degrees that was set back in 1990. I guess I brought the warm air up with me from the South!
Last summer, I was in the ‘Cuse but I was only here as a visitor, not as a prospective student! The drive from the airport wasn’t too bad, and I found the hotel without a problem. I’m staying at the hotel right on SU’s campus, which overlooks downtown Syracuse, so I took a walk around “The Hill.”
The Newhouse School, established in 1934, is considered one of the most prestigious schools of communications. Newhouse III (above) was dedicated by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. “The $31.6 million 74,000-square-foot modern structure features six-foot high letters from the First Amendment etched on its curving glass windows.”
